here is my final for last semester's illustration class. i meant to go back and finish it over the winter break (i had run out of time and didn't get to a real background), but you know things go.
the assignment was to use our chinese zodiacs and western sun zodiacs as characters that some how illustrated a fortune from a fortune cookie. what i got was "the social scene can be fun." fun you say?
I really enjoy the expression on our left tiger's face, especially in relation to the other tiger and the girl. Also, the simple background works pretty well; though zooming the shot out and adding some atmospheric living room stuff would be awesome too.
Her ear is a bit strange maybe because it is too big or badly placed or because darker color on it would have done better or maybe it's just me XD And is that yellowish make up on her brow? Also the knee is a bit too sharp I think. Anyway those are minor compared to the awesomness of the pic!!! I LOVE the tigers! I really do!! The light effects are so pretty! And the pose of the girl must have be a bit difficult to draw. But you did so well! I <333 it! Keep up with the good work really!
the heck that's not even a fortune the tigers are really beautiful - I like how the one on the left is blinking the one eye, and the blue/green hues are gorgeous

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
